Description:
This class deals with the implementation of systems that
involve e-Commerce transactions that include order placement, item shipment and
the payment process. It is understood that e-Business concepts are related to
these activities but the main thrust of the course is on systems that deal with
the transactions that cause and result from the movement of goods through the
supply chain. Although these systems are identified, the emphasis is on the
steps to define, design, develop and deploy them.
Upon
completion of the class, students will be able to establish a project team,
communicate effectively with equipment and system suppliers, document their
needs and monitor progress on an implementation program.
